Become Coaching Conference 2026

26 September 2026 | St. Ermins Hotel, Central London | 12.30pm - 8pm

A day to connect, develop as a coach, and practice in a supportive community

Join us as a Coach. Leave as part of a Community.

Coaching is maturing as a profession and with that comes a deeper question: what does it really take to work transformationally with people? Not just the models, not just the frameworks, but the psychological complexity, the difficult emotions, and the inner demands the work places on us as practitioners.

The Become Coaching Conference is a day built around that question. It brings together qualified coaches and coaches in training for a day of honest conversation, psychologically informed learning, and genuine peer connection, hosted in Central London this September.

But it’s also something else. One of the things coaches tell us most is that the work can feel isolating. You’re fully present with your clients, but rarely in a room with your peers. This conference is partly our answer to that: a chance to meet, connect, and be in a space with coaches who take this work as seriously as you do. To be part of a community that understands what this profession actually involves.

What to Expect on the Day
Here's how the day unfolds

Sessions & Keynote

The day opens with a welcome from Joseph Grech MCC, followed by a session from Srabani Sen OBE exploring what coaches commonly miss when working with leaders navigating real complexity. Joseph then leads a workshop on self-awareness and transference in the coaching relationship: what gets stirred up between coach and client, and how to work with it.

Panel Conversation

Hosted by Maude Burger-Smith PCC, the panel brings together Marwa Farouq PCC and Dr Helen Curran ACC for an unscripted conversation on the forces reshaping coaching today. Together we explore topics such as AI, systemic complexity, and the psychological demands placed on both coach and client. This will also include space for your questions.

Peer Circles

We will be joining small facilitated groups where you choose your focus: building your practice, working with emotional complexity, or exploring your identity as a coach. The structure is light, the conversations rarely are as they're impactful. A chance to think out loud, be genuinely heard, and connect with coaches who understand the work. Often the part of the day that surprises people most.

Networking & Drinks

The formal part of the day ends at 6pm. The drinks go until about 8pm. This is often where the conversations that don't fit neatly into a workshop format happen. New connections, unexpected conversations, and the beginning of relationships that tend to last well beyond the day itself. Come ready to stay a while as you make friends and connect with some brilliant people!

Agenda & Key Sessions

Arrival

Tea, Coffee & Structured Networking

Settle in and start connecting before the day even begins, in the company of coaches who understand the work the way you do.

Welcome

Opening the Day

Joseph Grech MCC

A short, personal opening to set the tone for the day ahead, what we're here to explore, and why it matters.

Session

Coaching Leaders who Navigate Complexity: What can be missed and why it matters

Srabani Sen OBE

Srabani has been a CEO three times, chaired four boards, and spent decades navigating leadership at the highest level, almost always as the only woman of colour in the room. In this session she explores what leadership coaches commonly miss, and what it really takes to coach leaders who are navigating complexity that goes beyond the org chart.

Workshop

Working with What Gets Stirred Up: Self-Awareness, Transference and the Coaching Relationship

Joseph Grech MCC

Every coach has had the moment. A client triggers something in you that has nothing to do with them, or you find yourself reacting in a way you can't quite explain. That's transference at work, and it's happening in coaching rooms far more often than we're trained to notice. This workshop looks at what gets stirred up between coach and client, where it comes from, and how recognising it can become one of the most useful tools you have, rather than something to avoid or explain away.

Break & Networking

Panel Conversation

Complexity, AI and the Psychologically Informed Coach

Hosted by Maude Burger-Smith PCC, with Marwa Farouq PCC and Dr Helen Curran ACC

An unscripted conversation between three experienced practitioners on the forces reshaping coaching today. AI, systemic complexity, and the psychological demands placed on both coach and client.

Peer Circles

Facilitated Peer Circles

Small facilitated groups where you choose your focus. Building your practice, working with emotional complexity, or exploring your identity as a coach. The structure is light, the conversations rarely are. A chance to think out loud, be genuinely heard, and connect with coaches who understand the work from the inside.

Had a fantastic time completing the Level 1 program. I compared a lot of different providers and content-wise, this was best. Also when it comes to quality and price. Supporting a business where you get to know the founder (Joseph) and the team so closely, means so much more to all parties involved rather than the big names that keep getting thrown around and cost an arm and a leg. No company or program is perfect but I really appreciated the honesty and vulnerability when I asked questions regarding representation, silencing of topics (e.g. Palestine), and overall how I’d feel as a woman of color joining a very White space. Joseph was kind and admitted there’s still work to be done. I felt safe enough moving through the modules, with the mentors, and even had a classmate in the same country that I got to meet in person! The program’s structure really worked for me next to my corporate tech job and I loved being able to coach and be coached by my classmates.

I just completed a certificate in Somatic Coaching with Become, facilitated by Maude, and it was great! I've been following Become for a while and they offer great masterclasses as well. This Certificate was a good introduction into Somatic Coaching, giving us a variety of tools of explore in our coaching but also to support ourselves as coaches in our practice. The trainer was great and engaging, the content and conversations useful, and the organisation very seamless. It's great to have a Learning Portal to go back to. I recommend Become Coaching to anyone who wants to grow their coaching skills!

I can't recommend the Become Integrative Coach Programme enough! It was one of the best decisions I've made for my personal and professional growth. As a Software Engineering Manager who has found true passion in coaching, I felt incredibly supported throughout the journey. The programme is so thoughtfully structured! Every module feels meaningful and applicable, which is fantastic! What makes the programme truly special is its variety of teachers, each of whom brings their own valuable and diverse experience, making every class unique and inspiring. The 1:1 and group mentoring sessions were absolutely invaluable in building my confidence and deepening my learning. I also experienced the most genuine compassion and understanding from the team during a personally difficult time, which showed me beyond doubt that they truly care about their students. The curriculum is rooted in evidence-based, transformational practices that really do work. I'm already using these tools every day with my clients and at work, and I'm loving it! If you're looking for an ICF-accredited programme that combines structure, heart and real impact, then look no further than Become!
